inspiring students through engaging, high-quality Spanish immersion experiences. We partner with exceptional educators to create immersive, hands-on learning experiences where children build language skills through conversation, movement, creativity, cultural exploration, and meaningful real-world experiences.
Our programs include Spanish immersion camps, after-school enrichment, private tutoring, small-group classes, educational consulting, and active programs taught in Spanish—including soccer, team sports, dance, Zumba Kids®, yoga, and other enrichment experiences. We proudly serve schools and families throughout the Greater Austin area, including Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Westlake Hills, Rollingwood, Steiner Ranch, and surrounding Central Texas communities.

Español Explorers Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, fluent Spanish speakers to join our team as a Lead Spanish Immersion Teacher for our elementary Spanish immersion camps. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who enjoy working with children in an engaging, hands-on learning environment while earning additional summer income.
Our curriculum, lesson plans, classroom materials, and daily instructional resources are fully developed and provided. The Academy Director serves as the instructional lead and will be on campus most days to provide coaching, modeling, and instructional support. This position offers the unique opportunity to receive individualized mentoring while developing confidence teaching in a Spanish immersion setting.
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, instructional background, and the level of responsibility assumed.

July 13–16 (Full-Day Camp): Pay is experience-based and is generally competitive with what certified teachers earn for teaching summer school classes.

July 20–23 (Morning Camp): Compensation is approximately one-half of the July 13–16 full-day rate.

Performance Bonus: Teachers who successfully lead instruction independently and receive positive feedback from the elementary campus supervisor and/or parents may earn an additional performance bonus.
Position Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:

Lead Spanish immersion instruction for a class of approximately 11–16 students (ages 5–11).

Deliver engaging, interactive lessons using Academy-provided curriculum and instructional materials.

Encourage students to communicate naturally in Spanish through games, music, movement, stories, hands-on projects, and conversation.

Foster a positive, energetic, and supportive classroom culture.

Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions while maintaining a safe learning environment.

Position Options
We recognize that applicants have different levels of availability and experience. Qualified candidates may be considered for one of the following opportunities:
Option 1 – Lead Teacher (Both Weeks)

Observe or co-teach with the Director during portions of the first day.

Receive individualized coaching and instructional feedback.

Lead instruction during both camp weeks.
-
Independently teach at least one full day while the Director is off campus but available by phone for consultation if needed.
Option 2 – Lead Teacher (One Week)

Serve as lead teacher during either July 13–16 or July 20–23.

Receive coaching and instructional support throughout the assigned week.
Option 3 – Co-Teacher / Substitute Pathway

Observe and co-teach on July 13.

Demonstrate instructional skills while leading portions of lessons.

Preferred Qualifications
Texas teacher certification is welcomed but is not required.

This is much more than a traditional youth soccer coaching position. Our camps use sports, movement, games, music, and hands-on activities to help children develop Spanish language skills in an engaging immersion environment.
The selected coach will teach soccer fundamentals primarily in Spanish while adapting instruction for children who are still learning the language. Camp participants range in age from 5–11 years old and represent a variety of soccer experience—from beginners to children who have played on recreational or competitive teams.
All camps are conducted on elementary school campuses in partnership with local school districts. As a result, all staff members must meet the same background check standards required of public school personnel.
Position Responsibilities
The selected coach will:

Lead one or two mixed-age groups of elementary students during daily soccer sessions.

Teach soccer fundamentals, individual skills, drills, teamwork, and game strategies primarily in Spanish.
